Thanks to ARTWORKS Magazine for their recap in the Winter issue because it introduced me to this stimulating artist. Good writing by Erin Clark, beautifully illustrated with Staprans paintings, this article makes me want to find his work in person. I agree with Eugene Conway in comment above, how the internet can provide a new artist to admire.

Thought provoking and frankly put, I especially like the references to painting-time passing quickly when immersed in creative work. For me as a painter the idea of borrowing is just essential and supplies a much needed sense of not being alone..if only i could write too.
The internet proves to be the artists friend out there when I stumble accross, as in this case new artists to admire..
