NATHAN “FLUTEBOX” LEE & BEARDYMAN
We’re hitting crunch time here at Artworks for our June issue. In fact, our heads are about to explode – too much to do, not enough time. But today we came across a video that made us stop for a minute and put us in a great mood. We thought we’d share it with you… This is Nathan “Flutebox” Lee and Beardyman – the best beatboxers in Britain.
By the way, we’re working on some incredible stories for the next issue, including Eric Zener, Mr. Brainwash, Dave Lefner, Paolo Nutini and many more. It will be on the newsstands in early June. Better yet – subscribe now and we’ll send it right to your house. Subscribe to Artworks Magazine

Here is my Earth Day Poem which relates to Chris Jordan’s art.
FLOW: For the Love of Water
To celebrate Earth Day I went to Holy Names University
To learn about the water issues currently.
I discovered that water is becoming a scarcity
And AB1242 is the response congressionally.
So here’s what you ought to know about H2O
As revealed to me by the film FLOW.
Thames River, Suez, and Vivendi
Are companies known as the big three.
They think water is their property.
It’s not a resource and it’s not free.
They pump and bottle it globally.
The World Bank funds billion dollar dams in a third world country,
Displacing thousands of people just like you and me.
They think big; they don’t fund little projects locally.
In the US, in MIchigan, the Hershey Company
Pumps and bottles water legally.
Now Hershey’s in California in the Shasta high country
Pumping and selling our water privately.
At the United Nations Article 31 has been proposed by the Human Rights Committee
To insure each of us has access to enough water to live healthily.
So we should use water carefully,
Conserving its quantity, preserving its purity,
Here at home and internationally.
Some of the worldwide challenges for the 21st century
Are the global economy, the generation of electricity,
And the distribution of water to all the human family.
